One Year 2 Win

Nov 13, 2023

On November 4th and 5th, WisDems kicked off One Year to Win, our massive voter contact surge marking one year out from the 2024 general election. Organizers, volunteers, and Democratic leaders fanned out in communities across our state to talk to Wisconsinites about their most pressing concerns, and to see if they might be interested in joining us next year.

One Year to Win was about listening, finding common values with our neighbors, and building relationships with folks we’ve never reached before—and it was a massive success. From Beloit and Kenosha on up to Wausau and Superior, WisDems volunteers reached over 100,000 Wisconsinites last weekend alone. The early work we’re doing now will set the stage for next fall’s full court press, and we were excited to find so many Wisconsinites ready to join the team.

A heartfelt thanks to everyone involved in the 1Y2W events. Our focus was on reaching infrequent voters and diving into no data & unknown targets in VAN.

Report Out: Approximately 100,000 outreach attempts via doors, phones, and relational methods. We launched 425 canvass kickoffs across 115 municipalities, reaching out to voters in every county.

Key Issues Identified: Economy, Defeating Trump, and Education for Dems; Economy, Education, Inflation, and Healthcare for Undecided Voters.

Our next big event is the Week of Service from January 12th-18th.
